Emergency contraception is a safe, effective and responsible method of preventing pregnancy when regular contraception has failed, no contraception was used and/or in the case of sexual assault.

As a result of the frequent questions asked by women and men within our training programmes about emergency contraception, the IFPA developed this short information clip. This 4 minute animation presents clear, non-judgmental factual information on how emergency contraception works and where you can access it.

The clip was launched at the Women Deliver Conference 2013, a global platform for ensuring that the health and rights of girls and women remain top priorities.
