The IFPA has been offering Family Planning Courses for doctors and nurses since 1977. Our Certificate in Contraception Theory is certified by the Joint Committee of Family Planning and has An Bord Altranais Category 1 approval. It comprise two days of theoretical training and six practical sessions.

IFPA Education Programmes |

The IFPA training department offers a range of training and education programmes on reproductive and sexual health. Courses include basic sex education programmes for teens, a programme for young people with extra support needs and a course designed to help parents to their children about sex and relationships.

The IFPA has a comprehensive range of education and training resources from multilingual sexual health leaflets, comic-style sex education booklets for young people to contraception display kits and manuals for parents, carers and teachers about relationships and sexuality education for people with an intellectual or learning disability.

The IFPA Training and Education Department has been an accredited provider since 2010. We are now in the process of validating 2 programmes through the new integrated agency QQI. This page will be updated once we have progressed with our submissions. |
